Sadaam Doppelganger: How to Hypnotize Italian Women Out of Their Cash

Saddam Look-Alike Hypnotizes a Suggestible Italian Clerk out of cash
They say he looks like a combination of Rasputin and Saddam Hussein and that he is able to hypnotize checkout girls into giving him cash, in other words, a mesmerizing robber now hunted by the Italian police.
Rasputin-Saddam Hypnotist (wearing a scruffy gray charcoal corduroy suit)
In the world of hypnosis there are subjects who are deemed more "suggestible" to the hypnotist. We wondered what criteria the man wanted by the Italian police used to scope out his potential targets and just how was he able to "hypnotize" these women into handing over the cash in their supermarket drawer. Ron Paul Fights to Move GOP to the Right

Just like Ronald Reagan did in the years from 1968 to 1980, Ron Paul's organization is building itself into a force to move the GOP back to the right. And many of the people contributing to the effort are volunteers who are donating their time and talents to the cause. A group of independent artists have contributed their talents to a project that rendered Congressman Ron Paul into a 3-D animation. They're hoping that their video project, a 60-second commerial entitled, "The High Tide", is able to be aired before the Pennsylvania primary.
The High Tide is not just about Presidential candidate Ron Paul, but about the idea of returning America back to it's founding principles of freedom and liberty.
A small group of dedicated grassroots artists have created a new 60 second promo/TV ad for Presidential candidate Ron Paul, entitled "The High Tide". The ad combines carefully edited audio from various Ron Paul speeches with high end computer animation, motion graphics, and a moving musical score, into a unique presentation that is reaching new eyes and reinvigorating the dedicated Ron Paul grassroots. Serving as lead animator, Arcfx's Nathan Evans conceptualized the project and reached out to various grassroots activists, tapping into individual creative talents the Ron Paul Revolution is famous for. Coming in early on, Ron Paul CNN/Youtube ad competition winner Chris Rye (AdamT from RonPaulForums.com) built the audio from famous speeches given at the Robert A. Taft Club and the Ann Arbor, Michigan rally where Ron Paul drew a crowd of over 2000.
IN OTHER RON PAUL NEWS: Ron Paul's supporters are taking a page from the Barry Goldwater/Ronald Reagan history books: they're continuing to build a grassroots organization to fight for the soul of the Republican Party. Reagan, first campaigned in 1968 and later in 1978, losing to Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. But in the process, he assembled the organization that later propelled him to a historic victory against Jimmy Carter in 1980.
Rep. Ron Paul of Texas and his thousands of fervent supporters may be fighting more over the soul of the Republican Party nowadays than they are for the actual presidential nomination, No it's not your eyes It's Republican presidential candidate and House member Ron Paul on a giant TV screen in Killeen Texas a GOP House of Representatives member from Texas who continues to campaign against Sen John McCain. Paul reported his campaign finances March 19, 2008 having raised nearly $35 million with nearly $5.6 million cash on hand and like a good conservative no debts. Seeeing how the congressman is more than 1,000 delegates shy of what he'd need to head the ticket.
With John McCain having already secured the nomination--and having left the country--Paul supporters are actively continuing the campaign for the next election, whether Paul actually runs again or not.
The 72-year-old Paul has plenty of free political time now because no Democrat, not even in Texas, is dumb enough to take him on in the November House election, which will award Paul his 11th term. On March 4, Paul vanquished his main Republican challenger in the 14th District by capturing 70% of the vote. Other than that, it was close. Paul says he'll continue to take his conservative message of smaller government, more personal freedoms and an end to American troops abroad wherever his followers are strong and loyal, places like Pennsylvania, North Carolina, maybe Idaho. But they're actually all over, even allegedly liberal California, where one branch posed nearly-naked for a Hotties4RonPaul pinup calendar.
Other Paul supporters have chipped in with a music video, while others have contributed the above 3-D animation commercial project. Ron Paul's organization is doing it the Reagan way: building an organization, one county at a time across the country. And they're finding plenty of people who feel the two main parties are not listening to them.
As noted here earlier this week, Paul's volunteers are winning GOP influence the old-fashioned way, at the grassroots level county by county, tedious meeting after tedious meeting, largely under the radar of the national media, except The Ticket. Paul's volunteers, many of them new to politics, hope to exert some influence on the platform in St. Paul and go from there, the way the 1964 Goldwater generation of conservatives finally won in 1980 with Ronald Reagan.

Barack Obama, Jim Crow and the Democrats

During a speech yesterday at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia Senator Barack Obama confronted head-on the issues surrounding the recent revelations of the statements the long time minister of his church and former mentor had made about 9/11 and how blacks should "damn" America for its "continuing mistreatment of them". Senator Obama's speech was both powerful and eloquent as he strove to explain and defend his 20 year relationship with the now retired minister of Trinity United Church of Christ, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, tying it to the still lingering cause and effect of the segregationist or Jim Crow laws enacted during the late 1800's. Last week a firestorm of controversy erupted around Senator Obama after the MSM reported some of what the Reverend Wright had been preaching from his pulpit at Trinity United Church of Christ on the south side of Chicago, the same church Senator Barack Obama and his family have been members of for 20 years. The Reverend had married Senator Obama and his wife, Michelle, baptized their children and the Senator "credited" Wright for the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope". From ABCNews:
Sen. Barack Obama's pastor says blacks should not sing "God Bless America" but "God damn America."
"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people," he said in a 2003 sermon. "God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."
In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda's attacks because of its own terrorism. "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001. "We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost," he told his congregation.
One of the questions aimed squarely at Senator Obama was whether he had heard the remarks made by Wright and if so, did he agree.
Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely -- just as I'm sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed.
Obama went on to call the Reverend's remarks "divisive" and a "distorted view of America".
But the remarks that have caused this recent firestorm weren't simply controversial. They weren't simply a religious leader's effort to speak out against perceived injustice. Instead, they expressed a profoundly distorted view of this country -- a view that sees white racism as endemic, and that elevates what is wrong with America above all that we know is right with America, a view that sees the conflicts in the Middle East as rooted primarily in the actions of stalwart allies like Israel, instead of emanating from the perverse and hateful ideologies of radical Islam. As such, Rev. Wright's comments were not only wrong but divisive, divisive at a time when we need unity; racially charged at a time when we need to come together to solve a set of monumental problems -- two wars, a terrorist threat, a falling economy, a chronic health care crisis and potentially devastating climate change; problems that are neither black or white or Latino or Asian, but rather problems that confront us all.
While Obama roundly condemned Wright's remarks as divisive and distorted he also defended the Reverend, calling him the man who had introduced the Senator to his Christian faith more than twenty years ago, a man "who spoke to me about our obligations to love one another; to care for the sick and lift up the poor". Jeremiah Wright: Obama Pastor a "Portrait of Hatred from the Pulpit"

"God Damn America"

Obama's pastor, a portrait of hatred from the pulpit

You have to see the video of Rev Jeremiah Wright's sermon to get the full impact of his vitriolic " ranting ". A word that is, by the way, derogatory in the extreme--whatever youthful bloggers may think.

If, that is, they know how to think at all.

Rev Wright's performance in the sermon first telecast on Fox TV is a sight to behold and something else to hear. It is hate filled, worthy of Farrakhan, and simply ugly. To be very sure, I have been highly skeptical of Obama for some time now , and I have looked for weaknesses to exploit politically.

But I never thought that I would find anything like this. Obama's "guru," his spiritual mentor, the man who officiated at the senator's wedding to Michelle, who led the church Obama has attended for 20 full years, turns out to be the "Christian" equivalent of Louis Farrakhan.

The heart of the sermon in question (apparently similar to many other of his sermons ) has been shown on Fox ONLY, as far as I can tell. The other networks, as much as I have been able to look in upon them , have all shown other material, or at most very short segments of the worst parts of that diatribe. So now I know, as if it wasn't clear before., the mass media is invested in an Obama victory and will not in any way seriously criticize him unless backed into a corner from which escape is impossible.

It is that blatant.

Granted, I favor ( at least generally ) the economic policies of the Democratic Party. With very real prospect of a Recession before the end of 2008, this factor has special importance. My “pocketbook” tells me to favor the Democrats.

But this is impossible, it has been impossible before today, but now it is ludicrously impossible.

A political expert–I don’t recall her name–made an observations that sums it all up. The case of Rev Wright -yelling and screaming that the US government engineered AIDS in order to kill off the Black population, that the government brought 9/11 upon America, etc., etc.–is NOT a matter of guilt by association.

It is a question of Barack Obama’s poor judgment in staying with Rev Wright’s church for 20 years of hate centered and paranoid delusional sermons.
Poor judgment of the very worst kind--for 20 years.

Spitzer Resigns: Dr. Laura Blames Wife

Eliot Spitzer resigned as Governor of New York today, his wife, Silda Wall Spitzer, at his side. Now we have so-called "experts" weighing in, judging not only Spitzer's behavior but that of his wife for "standing by her man."

Spitzer had been caught up in a federal wiretap prostitution sting where it was revealed that as "Client - 9", Spitzer had spent thousands of dollars for high class hookers, dropping $4300 for two hours with a petite brunette called "Kristen", an Emperor's Club call girl at a Washington, D.C. hotel, on the night before Valentines Day.

Investigators hinted that Spitzer had spent close to $80,000 over an extended period of time. Today his wife stood next to him as he gave his resignation speech at his Midtown Manhattan office.
“From those to whom much is given, much is expected,” Mr. Spitzer said. “I have been given much: the love of my family, the faith and trust of the people of New York and the chance to lead this state. I am deeply sorry that I did not live up to what was expected of me.” “Over the course of my public life, I have insisted — I believe correctly — that people regardless of their position or power take responsibility for their conduct,” he said. “I can and will ask no less of myself. For this reason, I am resigning from the office of governor.” Source - New York Times
While most have focused on the swift and sudden downfall of Spitzer, it was his wife's actions, that of standing next to her husband while he announced his decision to resign, that some "experts" chose to focus on.
The public reaction to Mrs. Wall Spitzer’s stance to “stand by her man” has been mixed at best, New York Magazines notes . Political blog from N. Dakota, “Say Anything” , said it would have paid to see Silda Spitzer punch her husband on the podium.silda-spitzer2.jpg Others were not as generous. “What’s more disgusting than a lyin’ no good, cheatin, hypocritical, political man? Their wives that stand by looking dumbfounded as their unfaithful husbands apologize to the public. Do these women have no pride?” wrote New York City Moms blog. Dr. Laura went so far as to blame Mrs. Wall Spitzer for the scandal. Source - Reuters
We took a spin over to see just what Dr. Laura's "diagnosis" was, as a guest on The Today Show, as to why Spitzer cheated on his wife:
Dr. Laura: “When the wife does not focus in on the needs and the feelings, sexually, personally, to make him feel like a man, to make him feel like a success, to make him feel like her hero, he’s very susceptible to the charm of some other woman making him feel what he needs." Meredith Viera: “You’re saying the women should feel guilty that they somehow drove the man to cheat?” "Dr" Laura: “The cheating was his decision to repair what’s damaged and to feed himself where he’s starving,” Schlessinger explained. “But, yes, I hold women responsible for tossing out perfectly good men by not treating them with the love and kindness and respect and attention they need.”
There you have it, according to Dr. Laura, it's not Eliot Spitzer's fault he cheated and spent thousands of dollars on high class hookers but his wife's fault for not "loving" him enough, not showing him the "kindness and respect" he "deserved."

1970's Partial Pic of Dr. Laura nudey photo taken by former lover radio host Bill Ballance Looking back on Dr. Laura's Unofficial bio it's very apparent why Dr. Laura believes what she told Meredith Viera on The Today Show as to why it was Spitzer's wife's fault that he was driven to use high class call girls. Dr. Laura's Unofficial Bio

Schlessinger married a dentist when she was 25, and had at least two extramarital affairs before they were divorced. Her first radio appearance was in 1974, as a caller on Bill Ballance's show in Los Angeles. She became a regular caller, and later a guest on Ballance's show, as he became her mentor in radio, and her first known extramarital affair.
According to the bio and numerous other sources, Dr. Laura met her next lover and now current husband, a professor and married father of three, in 1985:
While still married to that dentist (and still ostensibly a marriage therapist), Schlessinger met and began another extramarital affair with Lewis G. Bishop, a professor of neuro-physiology and married father of three. They lived together for nine years after divorcing their spouses, and have been married since 1985.
If we follow Dr. Laura's "logic", if her current husband's ex-wife had given him the love, respect, and kindness he deserved then he wouldn't have flown to the arms of... Dr. Laura. By blaming the wife of the cheating spouse, and we're talking about Dr. Laura's husband's ex-wife, you know, the one he was married to when he began an affair with Dr. Laura... absolves Dr. Laura of all guilt.

Could this be the reason Dr. Laura shocked both the viewers and the staff of the Today Show by blaming Eliot Spitzer's wife as the reason as to why he cheated on her with high class call girls?

Is Dr. Laura attempting to excuse her past actions of serial adultery by "blaming the victim", her lover's then current wife?

Is Dr. Laura trying to absolve herself of feelings of guilt by placing the blame squarely on the wife, claiming the wife failed in her duties therefore the man had a right to go "outside" his marriage, to someone such as Dr. Laura, in order to be "fulfilled"?

If Eliot Spitzer had called in to Dr. Laura's radio talk show before everything fell apart, what "advice" would Dr. Laura had given Governor Spitzer? Would she have advised him that wasn't really his, but was his wife's fault? That he had the right to go "elsewhere" to get his "needs" met?

Would she?

We'll let the reader be the judge.

Indiana Town Declares New Hamam Business "Not a Turkish Bathhouse"

The Turkish bath, or Hamam, is a cultural institution in the Middle East. After a visit in the Hamam, a customer finds his muscles relaxed, his body cleansed and his mind refreshed. A customer arrives to the hamam, changes into a robe provided by the bath and enters a beautifully decorated, mosque-like sauna.

A masseuse then massages the customer with soap and water for approximately 15 minutes and then bathes the customer with soap and water. The hamam is a body and mind-cleansing experience. Beyond being relaxing and hygenic, the hamam has also become ironically a place for conversation and deal-making. Source - whynot
A new Hamam is open for business in Indianapolis, Indiana, after quite a bit of wrangling with the city planners and objections from local residents. Traditionally a hamam is known as a Turkish bathhouse, while new owners, Julia Fonte and Karim Bouriga, disagree.

When the city required them to obtain a bathhouse permit, the first such permit to be ever be issued, they objected to the "bathhouse label". “I’m not opposed to regulation,” Fonte said. “I’m opposed to that adult, bathhouse label. I think it showed total ignorance of our business by the controllers office, which made its decision without having knowledge of what a hamam actually is.”
The Turkish BathHouse takes this Middle Eastern institution and adopts it to American society in the same way that Starbucks brought the Italian cafe bar to the United States. Maximum priority will be placed on service, including extreme cleanliness, and training all employees how to provide elegant and relaxing service. A customer can choose an Express Bath or a Traditional Bath. The Express Bath is targetted at a lunchtime break or quick post-work relaxer and guarantees a system time of 30 minutes. The Traditional Bath offers unlimited time in sauna, and other amenities. Source - Whynot
Fonte, a nurse, contacted the city and after an "estimated 150 calls" the city removed its requirement for the bathhouse permit.
If I hadn’t made all those calls, we would have been forced to get that bathhouse permit,” Fonte said. “The idea of that was so offensive to me as a nurse and even more offensive to my partner, who is a Muslim.
Pike Fire Marshal Steve Jones disagrees with the city's designation.
“I’m saying this not as the fire marshal, but as Steve Jones, Pike Township resident,” he said. “It’s the city’s job to insure ordinances are being followed, but they’ve allowed her (Fonte) to redefine what it is that she does, and that sounds like a political cave. It fit the description of a bathhouse and that’s why the city put it there. I don’t think the city made a mistake classifying it like that, but it’s easier (for the city) to let it go and hope nothing happens.”
Fonte says that her hamam will be “a discreet facility for complete body cleansing and exfoliation in a unique, private setting,” similar to an American spa treatment.

Man-Made Climate Change Causes Outburst of "Snow Rage" in Canada

Maybe the Canucks could hire this guy to referee...
Record snowfall, snow cover and cold records set throughout the world likely won't dampen the enthusiasm of the man-made climate changers. Neither will one more story frost the heat of man-made climate change frenzies.

Reuters reports that across Canada, incidents of "snow rage" are breaking out as people lose their cool over the huge amounts of snow. Disputes over parking spaces and snow removal have been been reported especially heated in Quebec, where police have been called to an alarming number of arguments about snow blowing from one property to another. About a dozen turned violent.
Recent Canadian winters have been mild but this one looks set to break all-time records for snow. One storm last weekend dumped 23 inches on the capital Ottawa and 19 inches on Quebec City, which has already received 210 inches this year. The drifts outside some houses are 12 feet and higher. Last Sunday, a man in an upscale Quebec City neighborhood became so upset a woman from a snow removal service was putting snow on his yard that he shouted at her and then took a shovel and hit the window of the vehicle she was driving. "The woman apologized and returned to work ... a bit later the man opened his garage door and emerged with a shotgun, pointed it at the ground and looked at her in a threatening way," said police spokeswoman Catherine Viel. Police arrested the man, who will be charged with negligent use of a firearm, and seized a total of 13 weapons from his home. Viel said snow-related fights were unusually common. "It's happened particularly often this year ... you have to be used to snow if you live in Quebec but it's been a bit extreme this year. People are fed up," she said.
The hot tempers may not cool for awhile yet, since Environment Canada indicates there is no signs that winter is about to end. It snowed once more in Ottawa and the City of Quebec last week.
Montreal is also having problems disposing of the snow. One massive mound is around 80-feet high and officials told reporters that unless steps were taken to dismantle the pile, much of it would still be there when next winter started.
We fully realize that weather and climate is a tricky thing: hard to predict and given to cycles of hot and cold. Because of this record winter, which has negated the tiny average gain of the last 30 years, we're not calling for carbon tax credits, reduced economic activity, more taxes and regulation--for global cooling.

We know that climate and weather are incredibly hard for man to influence. Eighty-foot snow drifts, record amounts of snow--even for Canada--and no end in sight.

What's an inconvenient troofer to do?
